HONDA CIVIC (MK6) TYPE R EP3 PREMIER EDITION - LOW MILEAGE NEAR MINT LATE 2006
Unfortunately it’s come time to let my beautiful premier edition Cosmic EP3 go, as I have a little one on the way within the next 8 weeks, we already have an Evo 8 MR, a Subaru GTB & an A250 AMG, so the EP3 has to go to a good home! I had plans to turbo the K20 this year but as the little ones coming in the next 8 weeks, and with what we already have it just isn't the best idea in the world at this point in time for me.
I looked at around 6 EP3’s before purchasing this one, as there are a LOT that have been thrashed, this is an exception to the general rule.
Registered late June 2006 Honda Civic EP3 Type-R. I believe it was one of the last to me made.
Owned the car since 13/4/18 and was on 83250 miles when purchased from Revitupuk– who are a reputable seller of high-performance cars/imports. Still got the receipt so you can see how much I bought the car for before I started the improvements. Cars NEVER missed a beat. I’ve covered less/around 3k miles in the last year.
I’m the 4th owner from new
2 keys – both work perfect, central locking etc – spare one never used
Current mileage: 86000ish (only 3k or so miles done in the last year) - Car is not used as a daily, but it will be moved to keep it running & to wash/valet so mileage might be give or take a couple of miles.
Last service: 86.6k (23/1/19 – full service)
1k+ spent on body work & panels alone in July/August 2018 to make it like brand new again, as little scratches and dings annoy me. Also have the rest of the paint from the job to pass over to the new owner in case they want to keep on top of the bodywork. Interior is nearly immaculate, no scratches all over the dash like some, perfect bolsters with little wear. Never smoked in. Only ever had 1 passenger in the car on 2 occasions & used seat covers until recently. Backs never been sat in whilst In my ownership. The only two things I’d say is the little shiny silver plastic bit on the end of the handbrake is flaking off, and on the inner door handle a bit of the paint has worn down – they literally clip out, just need a respray and they will be brand new.
I also planned on changing the alloys, so the stock ones that are on could do with a refurb which is £200 for all 4 rims to be fully dipped & repainted professionally. Depending on the price if this is an issue to you I will consider knocking off the £200 for these to be done or to add to some new rims of your choice.
Cleaned, waxed & polished at least once a month, power washed every week with an interior wipe down. I look after my cars.
Aftermarket stuff:
It has a custom stainless steel exhaust & sports cat (not sure of the make it was on when I bought it, when it was on the ramp I couldn’t find a stamp either on the exhaust, have receipt for this £440) – twin pipe so looks like the standard one. Not the quietest, but not ridiculous like some, but it does drone a bit at 80 on the motorway.
New Eibach sportline 30mm lowering springs fitted by the garage at the beginning of December (£300) so only a month or so old – done about 500 miles on them. Car sits a lot better without being crashy.
AEM air intake – I have the full standard air intake still. Receipts for this. Had a new filter fitted to the intake when I bought the car to make sure the air flowed fine. Ave the original air box which will come with the car.
Sony double-din XAV-65 6.2” touch screen with USB/AUX (has reverse camera assist but no camera installed). Bluetooth / usb / aux all work perfect
Amp professionally fitted in the back (it’s tiny so doesn’t take up half the boot) with uprated tweeters & speakers all round.
Official Mugen gear knob + the original gear knob
JDM tow bar
Red interior & footwell lights with a fob on the keys to change the colour, these were already in the car, I was going to remove them as im not into that sort of stuff but haven’t had the chance.
Original spare wheel, jack etc
Oil change using only the best oil for the car when the car went into the garage for the lowering springs, then again on the 24/1/19 - two FULL oil changes in 3 months
New brake pads on the rear done 3 weeks ago – again about 500 miles on these if that.
Rebuilt N/S rear drivers caliper beginning of Jan 2019 as this looked like it was about to cause issues in the near future and was occasionally sticking .
MoT done 23/1/19 so its got a full year
Full service done on the 23/1/19 for the sale of the car, with the oil, fuel & air filter changed, full inspection.
I'll throw in my £190 snooper dashcam with the SD card as well.
Being completely honest & the car stands me at around 7.5k+ with all the work done in the last 8 months or so. I believe the asking price is more than fair, especially with the dross EP3's that are for sale. Any questions, additional pictures or if you want to arrange to view the car please give us a message on 07932602130. No time wasters, serious interest only please would like it to go to an enthusiast or someone who will take care of it/has some interesting plans for it. There won’t be many good ones left very soon!
*** PRICE REDUCED as the car needs to go sooner rather than later as I pay for parking spaces.
Also; I'm a private ENTHUSIAST seller not a tradesman! I don't buy to sell, I'm a nice guy who will talk about cars all day; but this doesn't mean I'll take a silly low-ball offer so please don't come to see the car if you can't afford it or have no intention on making a genuine offer.
Thanks.
