Intro

Affectionately named by our kids as ‘Darth’ – used solely as a leisure (3rd) vehicle for family holidays and weekends away. A growing family and plan for new types of holidays means Darth needs to go to another home to provide more fantastic adventures – one of the best specification all-round campers available. In addition to the UK, Darth has been to Switzerland, Italy, France and Austria, has never let us down and been the perfect mix of agility, efficiency, adventure and comfort.

Full, comprehensive service history – meticulously maintained on my behalf by Sunset Garages in Derby, a transporter specialist who only use OEM parts and servicing regime

In the last 6k miles, Darth has had a full service (Mar 18), new discs and pads all round, new full cam belt kit (belt, tensioner, rollers), water pump & full EGR cooler assembly

Also had new Bosch battery (3yr warranty), full engine carbon clean (now returns 34-38 mpg), plus full hawkeye 4 wheel alignment

The Camper Bit

Full HiLo pop top roof – this has been brilliant – loads of space for the kids but hides away to nothing, in perfect working order – people are continually amazed at camp sites when you pop up the invisible roof, creating loads more space

MV diesel heater under the drivers seat, feeding the rear cabin – brilliant for those UK camping trips!

Driver seat with RIB swivel base – turns the full 180 degrees

Twin passenger seat with storage underneath and Kiravans full swivel base – turns the full 180 degrees

Full RIB rock & roll rear seat / bed – highest quality, in original hard-wearing VW cloth to match the front seats, 2 seat belts – load of space underneath

2 x bespoke foam mattresses included for the pop-top and the rear bed, making both very comfy

Additionally, there is a small TV repeater screen in the rear but this is not in use – it has an AUX link to the stereo head unit but we do not use it – instead we have a large Avtex full digital TV that we use when camping (the Avtex is not included in the sale)

High quality commercial-grade carpet mats throughout including fitting to the door steps

Reimo side roof rail – a brilliant solution for attaching the awning or sun canopy – very easy to connect, solid as a rock and totally water tight

File full or receipts and all official VW docs / pack etc.

Condition

The overall condition is lovely – Yes there are stone chips on the front as you would expect at 66k miles, a few small scratches on the odd panel when you look very closely, but no deep scratches, no dents, no rust or corrosion, no issues – the panels fit perfectly, are straight and true. The interior is the same, a few small signs of use throughout but in perfect working order and perfectly clean and tidy.

Sunset garage say it’s one of the cleanest campers they have ever seen. Darth has been used properly for some fabulous family trips across the UK and Europe, but he has always been meticulously maintained and cleaned. He’s ready for the next set of adventures….

Outwell Scenic Road 300 drive-way awning – replaced our other Outwell earlier this year, used twice! - a huge drive away awing / tent – connects perfectly to the van and gives loads of extra space for everyone to spread out, comes with full size bedroom pod so you can actually have 6 sleeping (2 in the roof, 2 in the van, 2 in the awning) but still loads of room in the tent. 3 ground sheets, 2 connector sheets, 2 luxury Outwell carpets. 3 Outwell door mats. Thule EasyBase & Thue EasyBag – allows you to store the awning and chairs out the back of the van, leaving loads of space in the van whilst travelling long distances
