HONDA S2000 MY04 WITH HARDTOP & FRONT + REAR SPOILER

Honda S2000 2004 (04) Facelift Berlina Black 64,000 miles, MOT expire July 2019

I have put as much detail as possible in order to answer most questions but feel free to ask if I have missed anything.

Reason for sale is we have moved into a new home and arrival of a baby.

Second owner from 30,000 miles car has been well looked after in the last 3 and a bit years. Always ran on 98 ron (V-power) and never went into VTEC without the car being properly warmed up. The car is the highly popular and rare Berlina Black version with black interior with a genuine hardtop. This is the facelift version so it has Xenon headlights as standard and the rear LED lights along with chrome tip rear oval exhausts. Enthusiasts will note that the rear fog has now been incorporated into the rear head light as opposed to the rear bumper. This car is pre 2006 meaning lower tax band.

Regularly serviced by PerformanceTek (Glasgow) and Automek (East Kilbride). Oil changes completed within 10,000 miles. I have always used Fuchs Titan Pro S engine oil and the last service at Automek, Millers was used which is the same brand they use on their Lotus Elise track car.

Car is pretty much standard apart from the K&N air filter and rear spoiler. Genuine hardtop and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) front lip purchased from S2ki member (details can be provided for clarification if required). The hard top is fitted with a RSG two piece racing bracket which have been purchased from Rockstar Garages in California (USA). These are a lot sturdier and secure than OEM coming with a bolt that screws the hardtop down giving a snugger and secure fitting, this in turn reduces rattle and eradicates any wind noise. The head unit has been ungraded to a Pioneer mvh8300bt with hands the free mic subtly on steering column.

Both rear callipers replaced along with discs and pads within last couple of months and front break discs with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads around 12 months ago. Work was carried out by Automek and PerformanceTek. All rubbers have been greased with shin etsu which is recommended by Honda. Spark plugs have also been changed to NGK Iridium at 45,000 miles.

The rear spoiler was purchased from a well-known user on EBay who has provided spoilers for many S2000 owners (S2ki forum search will confirm this) with exact color match. I have a new spoiler in the packaging which will be provided with the sale. A new windscreen has also been fitted.

Car comes with all documentation and receipts.

Bad points – The car is almost 13 years old so the soft top is in need of some attention. It operates fully and does not leak but there is a small tear on either side where the door edge meets. This is a common fault with these cars through wear and tear. The body is generally in great condition with the odd stone chip on the front. There is a tiny pin dent just behind the rear of the hardtop which can’t be shown in pictures. The alloy wheels could do with a refurb and the price has reflects the cost of this. Locally this can be done for around £40 per corner. Roof cover will also be supplied which was bought and used before the hardtop was fitted for £60.
