This car was used as an official UK press car. This car is labelled number 2 of only 230 produced for the UK market and a total of 450 produced worldwide. All the original Renault books are present including the R26.R book pack with the Nürburgring lap token.

2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbo, 6 speed manual with standard limited slip differential, 230hp, 148mph and 0-62mph in in 6.0seconds. A truly thrilling drive.

123 kg lighter then the standard Megane R26 Sport meaning a weight total of 1230kg. Weight reduction is achieved via the removal of the rear seats and seat belts, passenger airbag and curtain airbags (the driver's airbag remains), climate control (air conditioning remains as standard), rear wash/wipe and heated rear window, front fog lamps, headlamp washers, radio/CD player and most of the soundproofing.

Other features include a carbon fibre bonnet, polycarbonate tailgate and rear side windows, Sabelt seats with carbon fibre shell and aluminium base, 6-point harnesses, rear spoiler, optional roll cage and an optional titanium exhaust (£2250 extra).

Other parts included new front springs (14 mm/100 kg), new rear springs (16.2 mm/100 kg), recalibrated shock absorber settings, grooved brake discs, new alloy wheels are fitted with a different offset increasing the track by 4 mm (0.2 in), optional Toyo Proxes R888 225/40R18 tyres and stiffer lower arm bushes.

The Megane is in mint condition throughout. You will struggle to find a better condition car. Just 3 previous owners, 2 original key cards, factory book pack with official R26.r presentation pack and cage net.

Has recently been pulled from a private collection and has been dry stored since its was acquired in 2012. Full Renault service history. Last service was 02/01/2018. Has been independently inspected by our onsite workshop also.
