Porsche 964 Carrera 2 coupe Manual.

This car must not be confused with other examples on the market, as it has just been fully reconditioned at great cost and is in excellent condition in all areas. I Purchased this car as a basis for a 964 RS tribute, but soon realised that it was so good that it would be a shame to deviate from factory standard, so decided to get it restored to standard condition. I have owned a number of 964s over the years and know that finding a good car has become a very difficult task.

This car really stands out from the crowd, being a very good specification with the desirable and difficult to find combination of coupe, manual, 2 wheel drive, air conditioning and non-airbag. That coupled with the condition and the fact that this car has been fully reconditioned to an extremely high standard by the leading UK 964 expert Colin Belton of Ninemeister makes for a rare opportunity to own an outstanding classic Porsche with confidence.

Mechanical

The engine has been removed and fully rebuilt to a very high standard. During the rebuild great care was taken to ensure that the optimum specification was achieved, for example 993 cylinders were fitted, which offer an improved sealing arrangement, the head studs were replaced with more durable 993 items and all components were cleaned, inspected and replaced a needed. The engine also benefitted from having all fasteners replaced or plated to give a showroom fresh appearance. The clutch was replaced and the G50 transmission was overhauled, as was the oil system, brakes, electrical system and all other systems.

Body exterior

The body benefits from a full bare metal repaint in the original colour of velvet red. When stripped it could be seen that the original panels were in extremely good condition and needed minimal rectification work. The body has been fitted with new rubbers and seals as required and presents really well. New rear lights have been fitted to complete the exterior.

The car wears the desirable cup style mirrors, it would be possible to fit the earlier style mirrors should the new owner wish to return to the factory specification.

Wheels and tyres

The car is currently riding on the correct Design 90 wheels, these were found to be in incredible condition and too good to refinish, the tyres are as new. Should the new owner wish other wheel options are available including the 17 inch cup 1 wheels that could be included by separate negotiation.

Interior

The interior feels fresh and new, having benefitted from a professional refurbishment, the seats are firm, supportive and fresh in appearance, the black carpets are new and made to the exact specification as original, using factory materials. The headlining is perfect as are the door cards and other trim items. The stereo is a new Continental unit that offers Bluetooth and other functions, while looking period to the car, the speakers have been renewed .

Creature comforts.

The 964 offers the best of both worlds, with modern ABS, power steering and ice cold air conditioning along with the classic 911 look and tactile feel. Naturally everything in the car works as it should .

Export/delivery

I am happy to Export and have some experience in doing this.. Alternatively I am are also happy to deliver to the UK in a covered transporter.

Warrantee

This car will come with a full no quibble 6 month warranty with this car for UK Buyers.

The cost to get this car prepared to this standard has been eye watering and it would cost in excess of £100,000 to create a similar car to this standard.

Naturally the car comes with service history.

The car is stored in Ninemeister's workshops in Warrington UK and can be viewed during normal business hours by appointment.
