As you can see this really isn’t your average £1.5k 18yr old, 6+ owners, 100k+ mile MX-5, it is a 2 mature owner (60yrs & 40yrs at time of purchase) 54k mile UK car thats been cherished and enjoyed, not used and abused - when things have needed replacing they have been.

Its not a garage queen as such, its been driven considerately, regularly and serviced throughly with money spent where necessary. It is getting on for being 18yrs old so naturally its not perfect - if it was unmarked I’d be asking much more for it - It’s had some remedial work and paint on its arches and sills (a well documented MX-5 issue) so needs no attention there aside from keeping drain holes clear regularly, it’s ready for its new owner to enjoy the pleasure of inexpensive rear drive fun. There are a few stones chips here and there on its nose, but nothing unsightly and a couple of very small car park marks where someone has been kind enough to lightly brush against and not bother leaving their details, they don't show up on camera though so are very minor but entirely to be expected on a car that’s driven and enjoyed regularly. It has its original roof, which is still watertight and has only just started to show some slight signs of ageing - so its good for the next few years at the very least.

No accidents, drives wonderfully and really doesn’t feel like an 18yr old car at all - it’s been an utterly dependable 2nd car for the last 8yrs, we even travelled to Scotland to purchase it from its original owner when it had covered just 24k miles. I genuinely wouldn’t hesitate to use this car to drive as far as Scotland, Cornwall or Eurotunnel across France and beyond - having done just that over the years.

It’s now been relegated to a 3rd car role (replaced by a Boxster S) and as much as we’d love to keep it, sadly it's just not being driven (circa 75miles in last 4months) nor do we have the extra garage for a 3rd vehicle - before writing this ad I drove it for the first time in a few months (having been driving our 2018 Allroad and 986 Boxster S) and it still feels an utter joy, light, nimble and most of all just fun even when compared to supposedly superior and not to say much more expensive machinery.

I’m am open to sensible offers close to the asking price, however I will only consider them once the car has actually been viewed thanks, the car presents very well and IMHO is in the best colour (Grace Green mica metallic) and has a exceptional service history. Naturally any test-drives will be myself doing the driving.
