The vehicle is 100% ready as a camping set up for upto 5 in the tents or 9 including the awnings! This also a super useful vehicle and easily turned to work. We have had 3 amazing years and visited some amazing places. It is the most talked about vehicle on any campsite and looks a proper piece of kit. Each upgrade serves a purpose and nothing was added for form. We have had 100% reliability and any of the usual Defender issues were sorted under the extended LR warranty including clutch, both half shafts, wiper boxes and output shaft. I am picky with my vehicles and know how to treat a Defender having owned 9 used ones and 7 new TDCI’s. Only selling as our teenagers are getting bigger and over the next three years we want to Safari and visit the Far East, so don’t envisage using her as much.

Being picky and honest, Dinatrol wasn’t the best job and could do with another go. The front grill surround has an area of paint peel due to LR quality and she does have some small marks from rubbing foliage when driving. All could be removed by a machine polish if that’s your thing. Drives perfect and pulls like a train.

Stand out from the camping crowd rather than buy a boring VW Transporter. Visit places the usual camping set can’t access and put your money into an appreciating asset. It’s a dream machine and makes grown men and kids go weak at the knees!

I have priced the vehicle with the following considerations: The closest similar miles Defender 130 TDCI on sale with basic spec is £32k. My vehicle has £4500 worth of Howling Moon camping gear, £2300 of Patriot products, £1200 dynamat, £450 cruise control and £1500 of BAS upgrades plus the rest.
